| Overview of Installation Requirements |
| All Escape™ installations consist of a set
of Core Components (Base Unit, Master Database, and
a System Administrator’s
Unit), and a number of Ordering Units (Field Units,
In-House Units, WebRep applications, B2B web site,
the exact mix of which is selected
to fit your needs). The Ordering Units are either installed
on the user’s laptop or workstation, or accessed via a web browser.
You have the choice of installing the Escape™ Core Components
at your facility, or we can host the Core Components
at our secure hosting
facility. But, we must emphasize that there is no difference in
the functionality of any Escape component due to the
manner in which it
is installed. |
| Install All Escape Core Components at
Your Facility for Complete Control |
| In the “ON PREMISE” configuration, the Escape™ Core
Components are installed on a run-time environment (hardware, SQL
Server database management system, and other required support software
components) provided by you and located at your facility. You purchase
licenses for the Core Components and the order entry and management
options that you wish to use. After the initial purchase of Escape™ licenses,
you pay only for the annual support package. |
| We'll Host the System, and Make the Applications
Available for Your Use |
|
|
| In the “ON DEMAND” configuration, the Core Components are
installed at Indra’s secure hosting facility. We provide the
hardware, database management system, and other required support software.
You notify us of the order entry and management options that you wish
to use, and we make them available for use. There are no licenses
to buy; rather, you pay a monthly use fee for every Ordering Unit
in use. |
| You Decide What’s Best for You |
| So what’s best for you? It depends on several factors, including
the capabilities (and workload) of your in-house IT staff, your corporate
policy on purchased vs use-based software, etc. We will be happy to
discuss the “pros and cons” of each approach to reach
a solution that is best for you. |
